What Is Homeschooling?

Homeschooling is the education of school-aged children at home or a location other than school.  Some parents choose to educate their children at home. They may not be happy with the teaching at a school, different religious beliefs or their ideals.

When you teach a child at home, the parent, teacher, or online tutor can do the teaching.  There is also no need for the child to follow the national curriculum. You also don’t need to be OFSTED registered.

When you decide to home school a child, you take on the entire financial responsibility, including entrance into any examinations.  Your local authority can support you with free/discounted entry into Local Authority sports facilities, any national curriculum materials and information about educational visits.

Home education is a great way to provide a tailor-made education that suits the needs of your child. It also means that your child gets one-on-one support to help them progress.
